Setup KDS

INTRODUCTION

DineChef is a Kitchen Display System used in the Restaurant to Manage the orders in the KDS instead of printing kitchen orders in Printer.

Here are the steps to be done

  • START THE DINEPLAN SERVER.
  • PRINTER SETUP.
  • DINECHEF SETTINGS.
START THE SERVER

STEP 1: Open DinePlan, go to BACKOFFICE --> SETTINGS --> LOCAL SETTINGS.

STEP 2: Click SERVICES  on the Left Side and the following screen will appear and have to Select the IP ADDRESS of the System and Tick the Start API Server.

Local IP Address

 

Choose IP Address for the server. The DineChef Server will work based on this IP Address.

Local Port

 

Enter Local Port. By default, it will give you the Port 9090

STEP 3: Enter the relevant information as described in the table Above. Once the information is entered, click Save.

PRINTER SETUP

STEP 4: In DinePlan, go to BACKOFFICE --> PRINTER --> PRINTERS.

STEP 5: Choose the KitchenDisplay Printer and Edit it

STEP 6: Choose the Printer Type as Custom Printer and next Tab Choose Kitchen Display.

STEP 7: Click the Settings, the following screen will appear. Here have to Enter the IP Address and Port of the KDS System.

DINECHEF SETTINGS

STEP 8: Open the DineChef and Go to Settings 

Server

 

Enter the IP and port of the server. The DineChef Server will work based on this IP Address and Enter the Database Settings.

Local

 

Enter Local IP and Port.

STEP 9: Enter the relevant information as described in the table Above. Once the information is entered, click Save.

If you want Add Checker, Click Add New Checker and add the Name, IP and Port for the Checker.

In this screen, we can change the Display Mode as Classic, Compactor Sticky.

Here we can change the Background color for Minutes.
